Te Arai

Te Arai is located on the east coast of North Island, in the north of Auckland towards Mangawhai, where country roads end at beautiful white sand beaches. Its sandy bottom beach and consistent waves make it an ideal place for surfing and paddleboarding. Swimmers will love the spots in the surf and at the sheltered quarry swimming hole. A huge campground behind sand dunes provides a home to motorhomes and self contained vehicles. The area is home to several avian species including the New Zealand Fairy Tern and the Northern New Zealand Dotterel.
