The stately Cape Dutch style homestead is situated in the fertile Schoemanshoek Valley of Little Karoo. It was built one hundred years ago and served as a rectory to the local church until the 1950’s, then it was restored in 1994 and decorated with Victorian antique furnishings. The guest house offers nine individually decorated rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, safety deposit box, telephone, tea/coffee making facility and a private veranda, with views of the garden. Some rooms have a sitting room, mini bar and under-floor heating. Enjoy generous farm and continental breakfasts, and a la carte dinners that include a choice of the finest local specialities, such as ostrich, fresh fish, succulent Karoo lamb, game or chicken. The guest house has a beautiful lounge with two cozy fire places. Relax in the solar-heated salt-water swimming pool, or enjoy a drink at the friendly pool bar. For the golf enthusiast, improve your short game on the pitch-and-putt hole, with a separate practice green at the lodge. Category: Classic Guest House
