Makakatana Bay Lodge

Makakatana Bay Lodge is privately owned and operated. It is situated on the western shores of Lake St Lucia, in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park Conservation Reserve. Wildlife includes more than 360 species of bird, as well as leopard, rhino, giraffe, buffalo, elephant, hippo, crocodile, zebra and a number of species of antelope. The lodge offers six beautiful rooms, of which three are set in the indigenous forest and two have views of the lake. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, outside shower, air-conditioning, bar fridge, telephone, tea/coffee making facility and a private deck. The main area comprises a bar, DSTV in the main lounge, boma and a wine cellar in the ‘Old Crab House’. The main area, as well as the rooms, are connected by wooden walkways. Your stay is on a full board basis. Dinner is served, weather permitting, in the boma under the African sky. Category: Exclusive Lodge
