The Zulu name AmaKhosi means ‘Place of the Kings’. This exclusive lodge is on a 10,000 ha reserve, on the banks of the Mkuze River. The wetlands, savannah and mountains areas are ideal ecosystems inhabited by Crocodile, Hippo, the Big Five, as well as Cheetah, Giraffe, Warthog, Hyena, more than 17 kinds of antelope, including the magnificent Nyala and rare Red Duiker and over 430 species of birds. The 8 exclusive chalets are decorated in typical African style, each one with an en suite bathroom with separate toilet and shower, a living room with a fully stocked mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities. The rooms are air-conditioned. A wooden deck with chairs and loungers offers a breathtaking view over the bush and the river. The main area comprises a guest lounge with TV, terrace, swimming pool, a viewing deck, small curio shop, library and a bar.
