Lalaria Lodge

Lalaria Lodge is situated in Shaka’s Rock, on the beautiful Dolphin Coast. Shakas Rock has a secluded beach and a large tidal pool bordered by picturesque, rocky cliffs. It is said to have been a favourite resort of Shaka when he built his kraal at kwaDukuza. The rock is a promontory over which he is said to have thrown his enemies. The lodge offers 5 wonderfully furnished rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite television, telephone, personal safe, wireless LAN internet and mini-bar. All rooms lead directly to the pool- or garden area. The main area comprises a spacious deck overlooking the beach, ideal for spottin dolphins. Whales are also frequently sighted in season. Many different patio areas and tranquil tropical garden offer relaxation in sun-loungers, where you can read a book or simply watch the birdlife, or occasional a little vervet monkey.
