Sossusvlei Lodge The Sossusvlei Lodge is located directly adjacent to the Sesriem entrance gate to the Namib Naukluft Park to the Sossusvlei dunes. This luxurious desert resort was built with adobe bricks typical of Arabian villages, and tents similar to those of the Bedouin. Sossusvlei Lodge is at one with desert ecology. Sossusvlei Lodge comprises 45 en-suite rooms. Each of the en-suite rooms sleeps two in adjoining three-quarter beds, all with the same standard layout. Adobe walls are shaded by canvas roofs, almost Berber-like in their covering of the slate floors beneath. The rooms and bar have a marvellous desert view and the restaurant and terrace’s excellent German / Namibian cuisine is perfectly complemented by fine South African wines. Sossusvlei Lodge is the perfect base for balloon trips, tours to Sossusvlei and the Namib Naukluft Park, scenic flights and adventure tours.
