Te Arai Lodge is a family run, boutique accommodation, a 90-minute drive north from Auckland Harbor bridge, or a two-hour chopper ride away from Auckland International Airport. Take in the scenic location of the stone clad building, set on a high ridge with panoramic views of the Brynderwyn ranges, beaches and islands of the Mangawhai coast. Pass a covered portico and double entry doors to enter an open plan common area with a limestone open fireplace and plush seating. Cozy up in one of the four air conditioned, independent suites, each with its own private entrance. Stroll around the 20 acre property, home to a vegetable garden, an ancient podocarp forest, and native bush. Sip wine at the bar, or at the open fireplace watching a glorious sunset. Join the chef in picking fresh produce from the garden, and watch the final touches on the dishes in the kitchen.
