Baddeck in Canada

Cape Breton Island can be found off the north-eastern tip of Nova Scotia in Canada. It is one of seven ancestral territories of the Mi’kmaq People, whose name for it is Unama’ki. It consistently ranks among the best island destinations in the world, thanks to its rich culture, beautiful landscapes and plentiful beaches. The village of Baddeck is located on the shores of the Bras d’Or Lakes in the heart of Cape Breton Island. It is famously known as ‘the beginning and end’ of the gorgeous Cabot Trail, a scenic drive along the coastline. Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone, was a Baddeck summer resident, and the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site stands testament to his relationship with the place.
