What Makes It Special
A 1787 waterfront warehouse gives Admiral Hotel its unmistakable character, with massive timber beams, original brickwork and harbor views preserving a tangible connection to Copenhagen’s maritime past. Here, history is not simply a backdrop, but shapes your experience.

Details
Admiral Hotel occupies two historic grain warehouses dating to 1787, once used for drying and storing goods arriving from the East. Following careful restoration, the buildings retain their raw wooden beams, distinctive warehouse windows and original architectural elements, complemented by contemporary Scandinavian design. The hotel sits on the waterfront in the heart of Copenhagen, within easy reach of Nyhavn, Amalienborg Palace and the city’s cultural attractions.

Accommodations are bright and thoughtfully designed, pairing soft textiles and modern comforts with the warmth of the historic timber structure. The waterfront setting is central to the experience, with many rooms offering views extending across the harbor toward the Royal Danish Opera and Ofelia Plads.

Dining centers on aye aye, a waterfront restaurant combining open-fire cooking with Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, while SIR offers cocktails in a more intimate setting. The hotel also has an extensive wine program led by a wine director and a team of five sommeliers, with private tastings available.

For relaxation, the Pool & Relax Area overlooks the harbor, with a heated pool and sauna providing a tranquil counterpoint after a day in the city. Together, the historic architecture, waterfront setting, dining and wellness facilities give Admiral Hotel a character that feels both deeply rooted and distinctly contemporary.
