Western Hwange National Park forms the western edge of the Hwange National Park, the largest national park in Zimbabwe and among the ten largest in the continent. The park is conveniently located between Bulawayo and Victoria Falls. Western Hwange National Park borders Botswana, with the Kalahari Desert to its south-west. Mopane woodlands mark its north and north-west zones. The park is a haven for wildlife and nature lovers. These savannah grasslands are home to animals such as gemsbok, Cape wild dogs, elephants and lions, particularly during the wet season.
