Rattanakiri, situated atop the northeast plateau, is a ‘lost paradise’ in one of the least visited remote areas of Cambodia. Here, villagers live in hand-built stilt wooden houses and it is home to numerous ethnic minorities. Its characteristic red earth lines roads and paths as well as beautiful landscapes of lakes, waterfalls and pristine forested hills, make it a refreshingingly off-beat destination. The impressive undulating mountains and hills make for amazing trekking adventures.
