Ba be Lake, the country’s largest natural lake, is part of the Ba Bể National Park in northern Vietnam. The beautiful lake is hemmed in by northern Vietnam’s typical limestone hills and tropical forests. The region surrounding the lake is home to the country’s indigenous communities like the local Tay and the Dzao or Dao people. Visit the local temples, markets and villages of the hill people around the lake. There are numerous trails along the way for biking or trekking to remote hill villages. The network of limestone caves in the surrounding karst country are worth exploring too.
