Basel

Basel stands along the banks of the Rhine River, at the border shared between France, Germany and Switzerland. It is one of the country’s oldest university towns, and is home to the tomb of the Dutch philosopher and scholar, Erasmus. Basel is a culture lovers paradise with its 40 museums, innumerable art galleries and theater houses. Do not miss visiting the Basel Art Museum, the Fondation Beyeler and the Museum of Cultures.
