Shediac in Canada

Shediac is a beach town located along Route 133, in the province of New Brunswick. It’s here that the first public transit service for the east coast started. Shediac then served as a hub of ship-building and was later the take-off point for the first commercial flights to Europe. Today, with its many sandy beaches, including the Plage L’Aboiteau, this Acadian settlement is perfect for a laidback getaway. Heritage buildings and colorful 3D murals dot the downtown area. It offers easy access to the blue flag Parlee Beach, known for having Canada’s warmest waters.

As the sun goes down, the oceanfront restaurants along Pointe-du-Chene Wharf promise the perfect evening with their splendid views and fresh seafood delicacies. Come July, and Shediac lives up to the title of the ‘Lobster Capital of the World’ with its annual Lobster Festival. While you’re here, do not miss the opportunity to take a photo with the giant lobster sculpture at the town’s western entrance!
