Stanley’s Kopje

This is a small, seasonal camp in Mikumi, presiding over the Mwanamboga waterhole, most suited for game viewing. It combines creature comforts with the real bush experience. The Camp has eight custom designed tents raised on wooden platforms sited around the rock kopje overlooking the Mkata floodplain. All tents have mosquito nets, ensuite bathroom facilities and a private verandah built on a slope with panoramic view of the plains and hillsides. Meal arrangements include a choice of English or Continental breakfast, while lunch is a cold buffet with dessert. Guest close the day with a three-course dinner with vegetarian option together with tea and coffee. At the top of the kopje is the dining banda, a tall thatched building with open walls on three sides. It contains a bar and a small cushioned seating area, as well as dining tables.
