The hotel was great, very.... Western. Felt like we were back in New York. I wish we knew that as we probably would have preferred a hotel that felt more "Indian." I realize that may sound crazy.

The Trident, Mumbai was the only disappointing hotel during our stay. We arrived at the hotel about 8.3 pm after a very long drive from the airport through diabolical traffic (2 hours then, compared to 3 minutes when we left). On arrival we went into the bar to see if they served hot snacks there and were told that they did not, and were directed to the restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant we decided we did not want a full meal and asked if hot snack food was served elsewhere. We were sent back to the bar, where we found exactly what we wanted. Their cocktails were also very poor, and a Bloody Mary that Val ordered was undrinkable. The next evening, they had run out of beer on tap, and we just felt that the service in that particular part of the hotel was poor. In addition, the night before our departure we went to bed early, as we needed to be up at 5.3 am. I had checked that we could get breakfast in the Verandah Lounge in the Lobby before we retired. At 9.2 pm I was telephoned and told we had to have breakfast delivered to our room. I asked if we could have it in the Lobby and was told no. Then at 9.4 pm I received another phone call to see if I wanted a vegetarian or non-vegetarian sandwich. I again asked why we couldn’t have breakfast in the Lobby, and after some considerable time it was agreed that we could. I then asked that no more calls be made to our room that night. In the morning when we went down for breakfast there were other people there as well, so I have no idea what had caused the confusion. ... Read More

Our stay was extremely comfortable and we were struck by the friendly, smiley service of everyone. A particular mention to the Concierge desk and the entire staff in the breakfast room. One of the greatest breakfast buffets ever experienced! Unfortunately their restaurant prices (dinner, lunch) were rather high and so was the cost for wifi. ... Read More

We had an issue with our room on arrival which, after some discussions, was sorted by one of the hotel's staff. For the remainder of our time at the hotel, staff went out of their way to ensure that we were happy with our room and the service that they provided. This was a very nice hotel in an excellent location. ... Read More

Liked being able to dine outside hotel with ease -(sister Oberoi and Sassy Spoon restaurant nearby. You should recommend latter to your clients.)

We bought the upgrade and the whole experience was stunning, although we noted it lacked the truly Indian feel of all the other hotels.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean, full of light, great view. I went for a massage at the spa and that was fantastic. The rooftop pool was really wonderful. Would stay here again.

Can't say enough about our experience. Since our flight left Mumbai at 1: a.m. the hotel graciously let us stay in our room until 6: p.m. That helped make our long journey home easier.

The pool area not very welcoming but everything else fine. No one spoke to us at the pool and we had to try and find towels etch ourselves even though staff were in attendance.
