The ‘Blue Train’ consists of 18 wagons, measures a total of 380 meters, drives at a maximum speed of 90 km/h and accommodates up to 74 guests. Two convivial spaces entice you to leave the luxury cocoon of your private cabins – The Lounge Car with its picture windows where you can watch the ever changing dramatic landscapes go by, indulge in afternoon High Tea or a delicious supper with fine South African wines. The Club Car is a sophisticated affair equipped with a full bar, small library, card and board games as well as movies. Living accommodation is divided into 36 elegant ‘Deluxe Suites’ featuring bathrooms, toilet, air-conditioning, hair dryer, telephone, TV and safe. Six ‘Luxury Suites’ are on a grander scale for extra comfort and include HI-Fi, CD and video player. Each wagon has its own butler, who oversees your cabin being transformed from sitting room to sumptuous boudoir.
