Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is located in Musanze, just fifteen minutes from the main gate of Volcanoes National Park where most of the unique gorilla treks begin. Marvellous views of the countless hills and mountains, including a great view of volcanic Mount Sabinyo, can be witnessed from the lodge’s large garden. The main lodge holds a restaurant, bar and comfortable lounge. Each of the 30 spacious stone and thatch cottages feature warm, contemporary African furniture, and there is a seating area and fireplace so you can enjoy cozy evenings in. Whilst gorilla trekking is the most popular activity, you can also experience village and cultural excursions, enjoy Rwandan cultural dancers and go on treks in search of golden monkeys.

The power going off all the time may not be their fault but it would make for a very difficult 5am wake up to see the gorillas! ... Read More

Beautiful setting, loved the dancers every night, great food, great rooms except that the shower barely dribbled.
