Make your way to Lake Hood, the world’s busiest floating seaplane base and take a walking tour around the area. Visit the Earthquake Park and get an insight into one of the pivotal moments in Alaskan history: the 1964 earthquake. Get a beautiful view of the city from the viewpoint at Glen Alps as your guide tells you all about the fascinating past of Anchorage. Nestled at the foothills of majestic Denali, North America’s tallest mountain, it is a convenient base camp for climbing expeditions to major peaks.

Discover the attractions of picturesque Talkeetna at your own pace. An ideal takeoff point for exciting outdoor adventures into the Alaskan wilderness, it offers a range of activities. You could opt for a flightseeing tour over Denali National Park for a closer look at North America’s tallest peak. Add on a glacier landing for the ultimate Alaskan adventure! Set at the confluence of three glacial rivers, the town offers excellent opportunities for fishing and riverboat tours. Enjoy a faster pace of exploration with jet boat tours that take you into the forest and to wildlife spotting areas. Choose the adrenaline rush of a zipline tour that has you soaring over the forest canopy even as you enjoy gorgeous mountain and valley views. Alternatively, set off along one of the riverside hiking trails or enjoy a horseback exploration of the landscape. Fairbanks is the second largest city in the state of Alaska with all the charms of small town life. It is a favored base camp with adventure-seekers and explorers en route to the Alaskan Interior or the Arctic region. An excellent year-round destination, there is plenty to keep you busy come summer or winter!

Experience the magic of flying over the Arctic Circle! Board a flight and journey north from Fairbanks over vast and remote lands. Witness the remnants of gold mining activity, which continues nearly a 100 years after the late 1800s Alaska Gold Rush. Fly over the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, a remarkable feat of engineering which brought immense changes to Alaska after the discovery of oil over 30 years ago. Cross the scenic Yukon River Valley which is home to traditional Alaskan tribes who have preserved their lifestyle and culture for centuries.
