Dubai is vacation town! It feels like this glittering sun-kissed cosmopolitan city exists to offer the discerning traveler the vacation of their dreams in every way possible. Standing on the world’s highest observation deck at the staggering Burj Khalifa to soak up stunning views of the Arabian Sea, it is impossible not to feel giddy like a child. It is pretty much how you are likely to feel for the rest of your stay as you stroll through Dubai’s souks or local marketplaces discovering traditional wares and the aromatic local cuisine on display. The modern shopping malls in contrast delight with their imaginative facades and designs, living up to their reputation of being a shopper’s paradise with the best international brands. Venue to some of the biggest concerts, festivals and events in the world, there’s no dearth of entertainment in multi-cultural Dubai with its many clubs, beach cafés and rooftop bars. However, your Dubai sojourn isn’t complete without a trip to the desert. The experience of a desert safari on camelback or camping under the stars like the Bedouins is just the perfect way to end your vacation.

You will be transferred from your hotel to Dubai airport in a private vehicle
Board your flight from Dubai to Male (Duration: 4.5 hrs)
Welcome to Male airport where you will be met by a representative with a paging board who will guide you to the resort’s airport counter. Once your check-in formalities are complete, the resort staff will escort you to your seaplane. Please note that seaplane departure times are only provided 24 hrs before your arrival. This is a shared transfer and depending on the number of your co-passengers on the plane, you may be required to wait at the airport lounge before you can board. Your seaplane may transfer you directly to your resort or stop at another resort to drop off some of your fellow passengers. Your resort staff will confirm the timing for your seaplane departure from the resort one day in advance. Please note that seaplanes only operate between 9 am and 3 pm, and are dependent on weather conditions.

Today, it continues to serve as the gateway to the rest of the archipelago. You can go island hopping by seaplane or speedboat. Stay in luxurious resorts and enjoy the pristine beaches and crystal clear waters. Thriving coral reefs ring the islands and provide a home for myriad species of fish, making The Maldives a premier diving and snorkeling destination. Surfing is another popular water sport here, especially coral reef surfing. In recent times, spa treatments have become a Maldives hallmark too.

It was also a Mother/Daughter trip to spend quality time together in this hectic world we live in. Working with Walter in the planning stages and then with Neetu in the execution phase was enjoyable and stress-free. Amazing that with 21 to 24 hrs of actual flight time and 4 airplanes to get there…everything went seamlessly and no flight delays or lost luggage! That’s a miracle in of itself!
