Located in a quiet bay off the Indian Ocean coast, Dar es Salaam is the main port in Tanzania and has a bustling harbor. A visit to the daily fish market is a memorable experience! Remnants of British and German colonial presence can still be seen in the landmarks and architecture around the city. The National Museum, the Village Museum, and many colorful markets are well worth a visit. Numerous historical landmarks, including St. Joseph’s Cathedral, the White Father’s Mission House, the Botanical Gardens, and the old State House make for an interesting walking tour around the waterfront and city center.

Due to its remote location, Ruaha National Park is largely unexplored and a safari here often has the feel of a private, rare adventure. Enjoy unique experiences such as game drives where you are unlikely to encounter any other vehicles. You can also explore the rugged landscapes of Ruaha during beautiful bush walks.

Discover an untouched gem! A scenic flight to Nyerere National Park (formerly known as Selous Game Reserve) offers a wonderful birds’ eye perspective of the many waterways of one of Africa’s largest protected wildlife reserve, home to roaming elephant populations, wild dogs, and some of the last black rhino. Due to its remote location, Nyerere has remained one of Tanzania’s best parks. You can experience a boating safari along the Rufiji river, whilst a walking safari and fly camping will add a sense of adventure to your African safari. Decide each day whether you prefer an early bush walk or a sumptuous breakfast, a game drive or a romantic sundowner!

Four square kilometers of island paradise! Songo Songo, with its coconut trees, scrubland, 3500 inhabitants, countless birds and a fabulous sandy beach, is only four square kilometers! The main island, and the several other small islands form the Songo Songo Archipelago, are an ecological hotspot for sea turtles and birds. An impressive population of corals thrive in the waters around the island and you can enjoy great diving experiences here. The area, along with the Delta Fufiji of the Mafia Archipelago and the coast around Kilwa Masoko, have been declared a Wetland of international importance.

From the moment we first started planning the trip to the moment we got on the plane to go home, we felt so cared for. Our trip coordinator, Cyprian, was the best!!! We always knew what was going on, and he was never more than a call or text away. The game drives were unreal and we got so close to the animals. The food was delicious and the chefs were top notch. The servers at every lodge, who were mostly young men, were so kind and wonderful. All the staff were warm and welcoming. The sun downers were amazing. It’s an unexplainable feeling to watch elephants walking by while sipping on a cocktail. All the guides were so knowledgeable. We always felt safe, secure, and happy.
