Volunteering
We go beyond donations. We believe that all our team members can add value to our local communities if we leverage our personal and organizational skills and capabilities. Not only is it a positive experience for the communities but it is also fun and educational for our team as they are engaged in sectors of society they may otherwise have no contact with. We also give our staff the opportunity to dedicate one work day per quarter to volunteering with one of the charitable organizations that we support. We select our partner organizations based on their strong principles and ethics and the care and dedication of their staff for the beneficiaries they are working with.
Internships & Mentorships
Our Africa and India offices offer internships to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, regardless of their geography. Enchanting Travels’ team members personally mentor our interns to allow them to overcome challenges and support them with their career-related decisions. We take pride in having created environments of opportunity and love to see every staff member, regardless of their background, flourish and grow.
In Kenya, our partnership with the Logos Scholarship Fund allows us to provide three to four month internships with high school graduates in order to help them gain practical work experience and nurture new skills, so that they are equipped to start their own business or increase their employability. Some of our former interns have been adopted into the family as fully-fledged Enchanters and risen through the ranks!
Enabling Guest Donations
We are happy to share the deep research we’ve done into charitable organizations in our destinations with our guests. We evaluate charitable partners based on their ethics, the amount of funds raised that go directly to programming and how long they have served their communities. Our Travel Consultants can discuss adding activities to your trip that directly support the communities that you visit. For example, we recommend visiting the Sheldrick Family Trust outside Nairobi, where your entry fee supports orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation.
