Hubli Trips

Also called Hubballi…meaning ‘flowering creeper’ in Kannada, Hubli is one of the two twin cities of ‘Hubli-Dharwad’ in Karnataka. Hubli emerged as an important commercial centre for cotton and iron trade during the Vijaynagara empire, and is today an importan trade location. Noted for its handloom textiles and cotton ginning and processing mills, this was once a historic town called ‘Raya Hubli’ and ‘Elaya Puravada Halli’ during ancient times.
