Kalbarri in Australia

Kalbarri is a pretty little coastal town by the Indian Ocean in Western Australia, overlooked by stunning natural landscapes that shelter a healthy wildlife population. The town offers great swimming, surfing, angling, and canoeing off its white sandy beaches and near the diving atolls. The Kalbarri National Park nearby also offers horse riding and numerous bushwalking trails. Stationed at the mouth of the Murchison River, the town stands at the confluence of the outback’s rugged limestone and sandstone cliffs, the river estuary and the ocean bay. Covered in wild orchids, the land is home to kangaroos, emus, and flocks of wild pelicans, while the water shelters dolphins and seasonal humpback whales. In season, strolls along the seaside town’s old boardwalk offers great views of the coastal marine life, especially breaching whales.
