During the climb accommodation is taken care of in well maintained wooden huts that afford spectacular views of Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds.
The Machame route starts from the south side of Mount Kilimanjaro and is the most popular trail leading to the summit. Stay in tents in a camp-style accommodation for six days and seven nights as you travel along what is also known as the Whiskey route. Begin each day with a good breakfast before you set out. At lunchtime, sit down for light meals in scenic surroundings. After a day of hiking, look forward to rest and relaxation in the camp set up along the route. Trained staff members are available to cater to your needs. Enjoy a hearty dinner of freshly prepared dishes that are served with refreshing cold drinks. Turn in for the night and sleep on comfortable mattresses inside sturdy mountain tents. The hike is not suitable for children below the age of 10.
