The Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción is an eco-resort located directly on the banks of the Madre de Dios river in the subtropical rainforest of Puerto Maldonado. Situated in the midst of dense vegetation, the resort includes a laboratory and interpretive centre for naturalists. Opportunities to study the surrounding nature abound: from discovering medicinal plants to testing the purity of tropical water, studying insects and observing animals. The 8 standard rooms and 12 spacious cabanas of the Hacienda are built according to the architectural style of the indigenous tribe of Ese-Eja and are rustic and simple but cozy and close to nature. (Hot water is provided in the bathrooms but this is not always available 24 hours a day).
