Indian Pacific – Eastbound 5D/4N (Eastbound)

Travel the breadth of Australia on this five-day railroad adventure from Perth to Sydney. Board the Indian Pacific train in Perth in the afternoon. Enjoy the views of the rolling hills of the Avon Valley. After, sit down to a three-course dinner before turning in for the night. Wake up to the sunrise over Kalgoorlie, Australia’s largest outback town. Dive into the town’s history with a visit to the Super Pit mine. You could also opt for one of the other Off Train Experiences. Hop back aboard the train mid-morning for brunch and set off for the ghost-town of Cook. Take in the views of the Nullarbor Plain and keep an eye out for kangaroos while you ride one of the longest single stretches of railway in the world. Disembark at Cook for a late night bonfire and stargazing experience. In the morning, back onboard, have breakfast while you travel past the Flinders Ranges, Spencer Gulf, and the Adelaide Plains. Lunch will be served on the train as well. Arrive at Two Wells in the late afternoon. Then switch to a coach and drive to the Barossa Valley to visit Seppeltsfield Winery. Enjoy a dining experience that includes a food and wine pairing that showcases local produce and a ‘firing of the barrel’ display. Spend the night on the train and wake up in Broken Hill, Australia’s silver capital and the country’s first heritage-listed city. Have breakfast before picking one of four Off Train Experiences that showcase the city. Return to the train for lunch and spend the rest of the day onboard as you travel through regional New South Wales. Arrive at the Blue Mountains in the morning. Check out from the train after breakfast and proceed to explore this world heritage-listed area. Pick one of four mountain experiences that feature stunning views. Have lunch at Echo Lookout point and then board your chartered rail service to Sydney Central Station. Alternatively, you can skip the mountain experiences and ride the Indian Pacific all the way to Sydney.
