The Yarra Valley encompasses the region surrounding the Yarra River in Victoria, Australia. It is located east of Melbourne and is best known for its wines. The area’s relatively cool climate makes it ideal for producing high-quality chardonnay, pinot noir, and sparkling varietals. The Upper Yarra extends across most of the southern side of the valley and includes the towns of Seville, Warburton and Hoddles Creek. The valley floor contains the towns of Lilydale, Yarra Glen and Healesville. Both the Melba Highway and the Maroondah Highway run through the valley, making it a popular day-trip destination.
