Visiting Taroudant as part of an Anti-Atlas circuit including Tafraoute and perhaps Tiznit, or on your way south from the desert to Agadir and the Atlantic Coast. There is enough to see and do in the city for a day or two, but the best thing about Taroudant is its location in the fertile Souss Valley and at the foothills of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, which are teaming with Berber culture including ancient granaries, ages-old Koranic schools and lush green agricultural terraces.
Claudio Bravo Palace is a sprawling boutique property located in the charming countryside north of Taroudant. Set amid plantations and orchards at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, the hotel greets you with its arty and eclectic ambiance.
Jardin des Orangers, less than an hour’s drive from the airport, offers you a comfortable stay at Taroudant. The traditional riad is nestled near a little village on the outskirts of town, amid a lovely orchard of pomegranate, orange and olive trees.
