Hike through a sea of flowers! Named after the rare Clanwilliam Cedar trees that grow here, the Cederberg Mountains near Cape Town, and the surrounding nature reserve, offer extraordinarily beautiful views and fantastic hiking trails. The network of hiking trails is quite developed and hiking through the spectacular Wolfberg Arch or Maltese Cross here can be a real adventure! San rock art and petroglyphs found in numerous caves here, bear testimony to the earliest human inhabitants of Cederberg. On a good day, you can even spot shy baboons, bucks, steppe foxes, caracals, meerkats, honey badgers, leopards and jackals.
