Set out with your guide early morning through paddy fields and plantations and visit Trikepetta Village, or Bamboo Village. This is where you will discover Uravu, an NGO involved in bamboo where, if requested in advance, you can a few hands-on bamboo skills or purchase beautiful bamboo products. While at the bamboo plantation, visit the 100 year old Trikepetta Shiva temple. Plant a bamboo sapling that will be nurtured by the villagers in your honor, and take a leisurely walk through the forest. Enjoy a Kerala style water boat cruise where you can observe rural Wayanad. Walk along the river or even have a swim in it!
