Cape Tribulation is a remote coastal settlement in the Daintree National Park where the road ends before the Bloomfield Track. It was so named by a British navigator whose ship scraped a reef at the cape, and he recorded it as ‘here begun all our troubles’. It boasts a stunning scenery of rainforest trees hanging over a wide stretch of white sand beach with sweeping views over the Great Barrier Reef, and the cape itself.
This ecotourism destination is ideal for exhilarating rainforest walks, crocodile cruises, swimming in freshwater creeks, and beach walks. The fringing reef makes a great place for exploration during low tide. Bird watching enthusiasts will love the variety of avian species that thrive here.
