Kings Canyon is located within Watarrka National Park, with a panoramic vista of sandstone cliffs bordering a tranquil oasis in the bush country’s “Red Center”. It is part of an ancient site that is sacred to the many indigenous groups of the region. The jagged canyons and sandstone cliffs appear to be protecting a life giving water hole, an ancient little garden of ferns and gum trees in the middle of a russet desert landscape. The creek bed, overlooking the rugged brim of the canyon, also makes for a relaxing stroll, while the canyon rim itself has attracted many an adventurous hiker.
