At the Colca Lodge local resources have been used to construct a charming hotel in harmony with the surrounding environment. The rooms are built of stone, mud, and straw, with attached bathrooms, solar-heated water, and private terraces that provide spectacular views of the Andes. The most distinctive feature of the lodge is the secluded, thermal, stonewalled pools by the river. Each of the 3 bathing pools is set at a different temperature, filled with the healing waters of the volcanic hot springs. The lodge encourages adventure-packed days of trekking, mountain biking, and river rafting. Day trips are easily organized to the nearby pre-Incan ruins and charming colonial villages.
A great place ! We took advantage of the hot springs on arrival - but it would have been nicer if we had had another day to walk and explore the region, rather than arriving late and leaving early the next day!

Wonderful location, great views of the mountains & valley; grounds had lovely gardens, hot springs were great for relaxing after a long drive, restaurant was excellent, bar warm & cozy, room spacious. Good breakfast buffet.
