The Claridges offers a blend of colonial charm and contemporary chic in the heart of British architect Lutyen’s Delhi, just a few minutes from the city’s famous attractions. This 1950s property boasts elegant, refurbished en suite rooms with contemporary amenities including a TV, personal safe, and WIFI access. Soak in whirlpool bathtubs or watch the city scenes from your private balcony. There are contemporary healing and Ayurvedic treatments available at the spa. Unwind at the gym or cool off in the all-weather outdoor swimming pool. There are plenty of dining options to choose from, including traditional street food style recipes at the Dhaba restaurant, and pan Asian flavors from Jade. You can enjoy breakfasting at Pickwick and quench your thirst with signature cocktails from Aura Bar. There’s also Ye Olde Bakery for wonderful pastries, ideal for accompanying afternoon tea!

Our room did not have a window. It had a fake window that was frosted over - wish we had known that as we would have chosen a different hotel or requested a different room. Besides that, the hotel was great.

We loved this hotel, its atmosphere and our (huge) club room. And when we had to return an additional night, the sympathetic manager (who was from Varanasi) upgraded us that night to the Presidential Suite which was really wonderful.

Our room at Claridges for the first 3 nights was not up to expectations and we were disappointed. When we returned for our final night we had a lovely room which was what we expected at the beginning of our trip

The restaurants at the hotel are too expensive. After a packed day of sightseeing, we wanted to eat at our hotel and not go out. The bathroom in the first room (we had split our nights at this hotel) was dated; bathtub/shower very difficult to get into and out of.

This is a beautiful hotel which is let down by a very poor dining room(Pickwick's) and a lack of the personal touch - they did not take note of our request for soft bedding on our return. We had asked to change to a different hotel for our last 2 days in Delhi, but Claridges refused to offer any rebate. Expensive dining rooms, even more expensive bar and a charge for the use of internet make this very poor value for money. Definitely not recommended. ... Read More

Overall, we enjoyed the Claridges - but more so when we were allocated the room for which we had paid. When we first arrived they gave us a room that wasn't nice at all - it was nowhere near the luxury we had paid for. We discovered eventually that this was due to our early check-in, however they did not tell us this until I called and asked because something didn't seem quite right. I understand that rooms for early check in are subject to availability, but I doubt they would have moved us to our actual room had we not complained! After we moved, it was a good experience as the room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel was in a good location for us. I would stay here again but would be double checking that I've been given the right room! ... Read More
