Kinasi Lodge

Kinasi is a small private lodge situated in a coconut and cashew plantation facing Chole Bayon Mafia Island. The lodge started as a private home and this feeling is extended to the guests. The natural surroundings offers tranquility and total privacy. The 14 cottages are widely spaced, each with a large verandah and ensuite bathroom, giving a relaxing and personal feel. The room designs, furnishings and finishes are eclectic, combing elements of coastal Tanzania, African, Indian and Arab cultures into historically accurate ‘Shirazi’ style. The main lounge is beautifully furnished with antiques and hand-made furniture and there are original works of art by local artists. The friendly staff will create a very personal ambiance and look after guests, providing morning tea and coffee with fresh biscuits and cakes in the rooms, sundowners and cocktails, delicious food and attending to any requests guests may have.
