Olakira Migration Camp is a classic mobile tented safari camp offering an authentic and intimate safari experience. The camp adapts to the migratory patterns by moving to where the action is. From December to March, the camp is located in the Ndutu area to witness the magical calving season of the wildebeest in the southern Serengeti. From June to mid November, the camp moves to a crossing site where the Bolongonja River meets the Mara River. The nine stargazing tents, including one family tent are spacious, comfortable and have en-suite bathrooms with safari bucket showers and flushing toilets. Olakira’s tents have been designed so that a portion of the tent boasts a 270-degree view from beneath a meshed net, offering you an outdoor experience whilst still remaining indoors. Electricity is supplied through solar & generator power, and battery-charging facilities are available. After game drives and activities, guests gather at the fire place for sundowners. The campfire and the sounds of the wildlife make Olakira particularly charming; the intimate size and the friendly, well-trained staff create an authentic safari experience. Enjoy activities such as game drives and off-roading, bird watching, and picnics.
