Lake Manze Camp is an authentic tented safari camp that rests under a beautiful shady canopy of Doum Palms and Terminalia trees, on the shores of Lake Manze.
Selous Impala Camp is situated right on the banks of the mighty Rufiji River. The main building is wide and spacious with a thatched roof and polished wooden floors. It is furnished with comfortable planter chairs and antiques and there is a welcoming bar. Next to it, an inviting swimming pool lies on the riverbank not far from the lodge. Accommodation is offered in only six tents set along the riverside and they are spaced far apart for privacy. The tents are raised on a wooden platform, to give height for cool breezes and safety from snakes and insects and have airy interior with shining teak floors, handwovern kikoys in beautiful warm colours, writing desks and brass lamps. They have verandas which look down on the river from which you could possibly catch sight of an elephant splashing away from just below or hippos snorting and honking close by. Guests can enjoy boat rides on the Rufiji as they see elephants and buffalo on the banks, fish eagles and many varieties of water birds, as well as many crocodiles and hippos. Category: Classic Camp
