Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge

The first lodge ever to be built in a Kenyan National Park, Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge, is superbly situated in the lee of Mount Kilimanjaro, encircled by volcanic splendour, adjacent to a teeming water hole and daily visited by vast herds of elephant, buffalo and plains game. The lodge is surrounded by a varied landscape of rugged and smooth hills, notably the Chyulu Hills in the background to the North West. The hotel has 56 bedrooms (including 5 suites), each with a balcony overlooking the water hole and a fabulous terrace from which you can witness spectacular African sunsets. Its water hole offers fine game viewing, and at night you can listen to the sounds of herds of buffalo and elephant grazing outside your bedroom. The restaurant opens to a view of Mawenzi and the snow capped Uhuru Peak of Kilimanjaro, featuring a menu of ethnic cuisine, internationally-themed dishes and traditional safari favourites. An extensively stocked curio shop, beauty and spa treatments, Forex facilities, full medical back-up and emergency evacuation facilities are only a few of the services provided by Kilaguni. Internet service as well as Airtel network connection is available. Activities include a dip in the cool, blue waters of a rock-paved swimming pool, bird watching, guided nature walks and game drives. There is also the opportunity to do canoe safaris, biking and mountain climbing.
