You will walk for a few hours each day, accompanied by expert tracker guides. On the first day, make your way to the ancient campsite of Nayasura. Relish lunch and rest a while in your spacious tented accommodation equipped with comfortable mattresses and solar lights. Afterward, head out on a leisurely walk around the rocky landscape. Accompanied by a local Maasai guide, watch out for wildlife species such as baboons. Enjoy snacks and sundowners while you take in the beautiful sunset. You could then relax with a hot shower at the camp. Settle around the fire for a three-course dinner under the starry sky, before calling it a night. On your second day, eat an early breakfast and begin walking towards Nyarara Camp. As you travel across the bush, lookout for zebra, oryx, and gazelles grazing peacefully. If you’re lucky, you may spot dik diks, impala, and lesser kudu. Meanwhile, the staff will lead a caravan of camels that are loaded with supplies ahead of you to set up camp. On reaching the camp, sip a refreshing drink and fuel up with a gourmet lunch. Set off on an evening walk and find a good spot to catch the sunset before you return to camp for the night. Begin the third day of your wilderness sojourn with a walk toward Ewaso Nyiro River where giraffe, eland, and steenbok are found in plenty. You could also enjoy a quick pre-lunch swim in the river. After a hearty meal, visit a manyatta or Maasai settlement. Activities like rock climbing can also be included upon request. Stop by the UNESCO World Heritage site of Fort Jesus dating back to the 16th century. Stroll around Haller Park, a free-roaming animal sanctuary before heading over to the giant aluminum Mombasa Tusks on Moi Avenue. You could also try your hand at deep-sea fishing for black marlin as you set off from the coastal village of Watamu. Or, you could hop into an Arabian-style dhow or traditional sailboat and head to Wasini Island stopping en route for snorkeling or diving as well as dolphin and whale watching.
