This was a great hotel to follow up our "roughing it" in Rwanda. The architecture is stunning, the location is great, and it felt very safe!

We also had a somewhat serious medical emergence late the night before our safari and the team at the Fairview were prompt in getting a Doctor to visit us in our room and attend to the issues. They all made the difference in us being able to take our safari. Wonderful property! Great food and the grounds are an oasis in the midst of a bustling city. ... Read More

First visit was very good - spacious, air conditioned etc Second time we were 'up graded' to a room by the pool but it had no air conditioning and was very stuffy... The fan did not reach my husband in bed and we had trouble sleeping. Third time we requested First visit was very good - spacious, air conditioned etc Second time we were 'up graded' to a room by the pool but it had no air conditioning and was very stuffy... The fan did not reach my husband in bed and we had trouble sleeping. Third time we requested air conditioning and to be in main building again but we did not get air conditioning. Although we were only overnighting this accommodation met our needs for each of the 2 x 24 hours we stayed there. It is a lovely old establishment but very warm and friendly. We were here in the wet season however the pool and other recreational equipment looked very inviting even in the cooler weather. ... Read More

When we arrived for our 1st stay, we were told no room was available ( in spite of it having been booked at least 2 -3 months previously), due to the fact that guests that were supposed to have checked out, decided to stay another day. This is not acceptable.Other than this the hotel on the last occasion was good.Room was good and also food.On the 2nd stay, we were put across the car park and up 3 flights of stairs. This is also not acceptable for 7 year olds.If you stay in the main building, then I would rate it a good hotel. ... Read More

It was a shame we arrived so late so as not to be able to enjoy and relax at this magnificent hotel in a quiet and protected part of this huge city.

Fairview was great, the gardens made us feel at home with no noise from the outside and staff very friendly. Security very tight due to the Israeli embassy which was a little off putting but having our driver and trip coordinator with us put us at ease.
