Lake Elementaita is a small soda ash lake 18 sqkm in size, and is located on the eastern side of the Great Rift Valley, with much of it being part of the private Soysambu Conservancy. Although situated on private land it can be visited and is often home to great white pelicans, great crested grebe and is an important stopover for over 350 migratory bird species.
