Flamingo fancy! Part of the Rift Valley lake group, that boast some of the most historical and deepest lakes exist on the planet, the shores of Lake Nakuru are often home to more than one million flamingos. This enormous, colorful population is considered the greatest bird spectacle on earth. Experience game drives where you will have the opportunity to get very close to the flamingos, and to see some of the park’s other residents, such as elephants, giraffe, and rhino. Nakuru will create a sense of wonder and admiration in even the most well-travelled visitor.
Bird lovers’ paradise! Lake Elementaita is a small soda ash lake 18 sqkm in size, and is located on the eastern side of the Great Rift Valley. Although situated on private land it can be visited and is often home to tens of thousands of flamingos, great white pelicans, great crested grebe and is an important stopover for over 350 migratory bird species. You can also witness zebra, gazelle, eland and families of warthog. Enjoy a range of outdoor activities, including horse riding, bird watching, and a visit to the natural warm spa that flows into the lake.
