San Cristobal in Ecuador & Galapagos

The city is named for Francisco de Orellana, who explored the confluence of the Coca River and the Napo River.

Ingapirca is one of the largest and most important Incan ruins in Ecuador and is situated 3000 meters above sea level. Ingapirca translates as ‚Incan wall‘. However, it served not only as a fortification but as an important place of worship.
