Tumaren Camp

Tumaren Camp is a deluxe permanent camp situated on the panoramic plains of eastern Laikipia, in a prime location for viewing wildlife, especially giraffes, eland and gazelles. This revolutionary walking safari outpost was formerly the home of the owners of Karisia Walking Safaris. Six spacious sleeping tents can each accommodate a family of up to four. They are powered by solar energy, have verandahs overlooking the open savannah, and are decorated with colorful African furnishings and ornaments. The highlight of the camp is exploring the area on foot with a Samburu guide, tracker and camels. You can also explore the vast open spaces with safari vehicles or mountain bikes. Take a drive and picnic lunch to the Ewaso Nyiro river. Relax with a book, chat with fellow travelers and enjoy afternoon tea or a sundowner at the comfortable communal tent.
