Karen Blixen Camp is situated on the border of the famous Masai Mara Reserve. Set on the bank of the Mara River, the location is spectacular, with the impressive escarpment and river in front of the camp, and the great Mara plains behind it. There are 22 spacious tents, located either on the riverbank or in a position to provide a magnificent view of the scenery. Each tent is set on a large mahogany platform, with a private veranda where you can enjoy an afternoon siesta in the peaceful surroundings. The camp provides the ultimate in luxury ‘camping’. All tents have a private toilet and outdoor shower, and are furnished with style and comfort in mind.
Camp facilities also include a restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool, a conference room and a wellness treatment facilities offered by the resident masseuse. Since the camp is situated in one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in the world, game viewing is never a disappointment. A night drive allows you to discover the area’s nocturnal species, under a brilliant African sky full of stars.
