Enjoy a fine dining experience at Elephant Café, near Victoria Falls, and interact with rescued pachyderms during this unique experience. Set off on a 30-minute cruise from the David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa. As you travel up the Zambezi river, you may be able to spot wildlife as you cross Zimbabwe, with its national parks, and Zambia. Hold on to your seat as the boat negotiates multiple rapids and shallow basalt rock channels, while avoiding hippos and crocodiles. Once you arrive, meet the elephants from the nearby sanctuary. Many have been hand-reared, and while the older ones have been rescued from droughts and culling exercises, the younger ones came from the wild or have been born into the herd. Learn more about these gentle giants and feed and play with them. Once the herd retires to the bush, head to the Elephant Café for a memorable dining experience while overlooking the magnificent Zambezi River. Sit in the tented café area and feast on gourmet bush dishes that are prepared using seasonal, fresh ingredients, including wild edibles. Take in the sounds of the African bush as you enjoy your meal.
