Coca Tours

Set at the confluence of the Napo and Coca Rivers, El Coca welcomes you into the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon. Frequented by travelers as a gateway to Yasuni National Park, this small town offers hot and humid weather around the year. While most visitors tend to use the Coca as a transit point, the town has a few interesting sites to offer. Chief among these is MACCO, the Archaeological Museum and Cultural Center of Orellana, home to pre-Columbian archaeological items. There is also a Sunday market in town with local delicacies such as grilled meat and fish. Just outside of town, you can explore the waterfalls and rock pools of the Pasohurco Caves or the eco-park located to the south.
