Escape the human world! The Quirimbas are a string of pristine coral islands, stretching for 100 kms along the northern Mozambique coast and visited by only a handful of guests. The region is steeped in Portuguese colonial and Arabian trade history, which can be witnessed on Ibo Island. Discover Matemo Island, a quintessential tropical island; the tiny and blissful Medjumbe Island; the most remote and stunning Vamizi Island; or Quilálea, a marine sanctuary. The turquoise waters are home to some of the world’s richest coral reefs providing habitat for an abundant marine life of 375 fish species, offering superb game fishing, diving snorkelling and sailing. There are green and hawksbill turtles, humpback whales and the rare dugong.
