Tangkoko Rainforest Tours

The Tangkoko Batuangus Nature Reserve is a sprawling expanse of rich rainforest island hemmed in by sandy beaches and exotic coral reefs. This North Sulawesi wildlife paradise is also home to the thickly forested slopes of the three mountains – Tangkoko, Dua Saudara and Batuangus. Home to hundreds of birds, mammals, reptiles and plant life, many of the species found here are native to these wild rainforests. Be prepared to spot rare varieties of macaques, tarsiers, cuscus and exotic plants, along with flocks of colorful hornbills and maleo birds endemic to the wilds of Tangkoko. The nature reserve is easily accessible for travelers and wildlife enthusiasts who prefer land excursions to diving and snorkeling.
